State capture is a type of systemic political corruption in which private interests significantly influence a countries decision-making processes to their own advantage.
The term was first used by the World bank around the year 2000 to describe the situation in certain African countries Specifically, it was applied to situations where one ethnic group is chosen to occupy lucrative Government positions to have influence and control of the Government any way they are directed by the person appointing them.
